tree planting
If you are wanting to plant trees please stop in and make a plan with us. We need to make sure you are planting the trees in appropriate areas. If the District is planting your trees you must follow NRCS's Standards and Specs and the Cultural Resources must be cleared. The planting site will also need to be broken a year in advance.
COSTS:
- $0.25 per foot (includes trees and us planting them) your will be responsible for the tractor to pull the planter.
- $0.50 per foot for Fabric (Stark County will do everything that needs to be done installing the fabric)
Soil testing
In the Fall we soil test with 2 pick up equipped with in cab soil probes.
We also GPS all probe sites and return to those sites in the following years if the Cooperator so wishes. The District sends the soil to be sampled for a Small Grains test which includes Nitrogen (2 depths), Phosphorus, Potassium, pH, Salts, Sulfur, Chloride, Copper, and Organic Matter or a Row Crop test which includes Nitrogen (2 depths), Phosphorus, Potassium, pH, Salts, Sulfur, Zinc, Copper, and Organic Matter. Any additional or individual test will be provided at an additional charge. The charges for soil testing will include lab costs, are subject to change at any time and are as follows:
- 100 acres or less $73.50/test
- 101-200 acres $88.50/test
- 201-300 acres $103.50/test
- Postage $2.00/test
- Row Crop tests $5/test additional
- Complete Analysis $26/test additional
Maps brought in after October 15th will be considered for spring testing and an additional $40 per field will be subject to pay
John deere 1590 no till drill
This drill is 15 feet wide. Has 3 boxes and 7.5 in spacing. This drill has a agitator for grass but can seed cover crops. It costs $10.00 per acre or $12.00 when transported (if available). Also need $300 deposit.
